Make Your Yoga Practice As Unique As You

So often we limit ourselves by our own expectations in our yoga practice. Whether we are comparing ourselves to one another or having expectation of how our practice should look or what our body should look like in poses.

Releasing judgement, expectation and comparison is a practice in itself. Coming to the mat regularly can be challenging.

I believe getting to your mat is a huge start in a meaningful practice. Once you're there, ask yourself, "what do I need?" Then, honor the body and watch your practice build. Surrender and allow your body time to reach small goals of where you'd like to be.

There may be days when you roll out your mat with every ounce of intention for a deep practice and once you get there your body says NO! Can you honor that?

Pause, tap in, listen to your body and then give it all the love it needs each time you step into your practice. Continue to come back follow the whisper, or scream, of your beautiful temple, your body.
